NatWest Boxed provides cloud-based banking services (Banking-as-a-Service). Using their multi-tenant multi-cloud platform, any company can offer financial solutions to their customers without needing their own banking license. To achieve this, their infrastructure platform team provides a Kubernetes-first deployment environment used independently by 20 teams. This makes tracking and managing cloud costs a very complex task for this team.
In this talk, Antoine Dao, Engineering Manager, and Mike Bryant, Platform Engineer, both at NatWest Boxed, will share their journey with Datadog Cloud Cost Management to understand, allocate, and optimize the cloud costs of NatWest Boxed while ensuring a seamless user experience for their customers and their customers’ end users.
They will also discuss how the design partnership between NatWest Boxed and Datadog not only helped NatWest Boxed achieve their goals faster but also helped improve the Datadog Cloud Cost Management product in the process.
