José Lorenzo Rodríguez is the Engineering Manager for the Application Platform Team at SeatGeek. Think of this team, not as architects of a platform, but like city planners that delimit the zones and what the future of the city may look like. This includes client networking, maintaining foundational services, and both identifying and removing bottlenecks for other teams. He started as an SRE at SeatGeek where he helped establish the current services architecture on top of Nomad and dedicated a large chunk of his time to reliability and performance tasks.
Before SeatGeek, he was part of Bownty, the biggest European deals aggregator site (remember when deals were hot in tech?). José is also a contributor to several Open Source projects, notably, the maintainer of Hadolint, a Dockerfile linting tool, and was the lead developer of CakePHP, a popular PHP framework. José also has a passion for mindfulness, something he teaches in his spare time.
