Sean Schaab (they/them) is a Commercial Sales Engineering Manager at Datadog, based in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to Datadog, they were a barber for 7 years, where they focused on teaching themself programming Ruby and Node.JS apps. They began their career in pre-sales at Datadog in 2018, throughout which they navigated gender transition and a promotion to leadership. Sean strongly believes that when people authentically show up as themselves, they will put their best foot forward. They are an activist and advocate for gender equality and trans rights both internally at Datadog, and in their community where they lead LGBTQIA+ Community Groups, fundraisers, and most recently participating in the AIDS LifeCycle - a 545 mile bike ride in support of HIV/AIDS Healthcare.
