Blake is a Director of Site Reliability Engineering at Zendesk for the last 1.5 years, where he focuses on improving the overall reliability of Zendesk products while building an SRE organization from the ground up. Previously, he led an SRE team at Netflix and a Production Engineering organization at Blackboard. He’s passionate about automation where it makes sense, building high performing teams, Reliability Engineering, Resilience Engineering, and the human side of engineering. Outside of work, he likes to spend time with his family and friends, urban hiking San Francisco, hiking in nature outside of SF, and enjoying music.
